Statement of purpose
PRM Positive Role Model CIC exists to place and give voice to positive role models within society.
The company is founded on the principle that relatable lived experience creates a connection that instruction alone cannot. Individuals who have experienced adversity, and have emerged from it positively, hold a singular capacity to help others recognise, understand and manage their own experiences. PRM's purpose is to ensure that such individuals are visible, heard and positioned where society most requires them.
In fulfilment of this purpose, the company produces a podcast through which the stories of positive role models reach far and wide. The PRM® frameworks deliver structured talks and workshops within education settings and to corporate organisations, addressing mental health, resilience, adverse childhood experiences, child criminal exploitation and historic trauma.
The company's work constitutes therapeutically informed support. It is preventative in nature: by fostering understanding of emotions and equipping individuals with the means to govern their reactions, it seeks to reach people before crisis and thereby to reduce the demand placed upon mental health services, education support, policing and social care.
PRM serves young people within education, adults within the workplace and the role models to whom it provides a platform. As a Community Interest Company, it is asset-locked and conducted not for private gain; every surplus is applied to the advancement of this purpose.
